We are thrilled to be nearing completion of The Willows Youth Services Center in Kirkland. The two-story, 7,000-square-foot space will replace the current young adult emergency shelter known as “The Landing” in Redmond. This new facility will provide room for up to 35 young people on any given night on the first floor, and Drop-In Services offered on the second floor including Behavioral Health Services, meal services, and more. This comprehensive center will be critical in addressing the needs of young people in the region.

This summer we have had several exciting site visits with elected officials including U.S. Senator, Patty Murray; U.S. Representative, Suzan DelBene; State Representative, Lisa Callan; King County Councilmember, Claudia Balducci; Eastside Mayors including Kirkland Mayor, Penny Sweet; Bellevue Mayor, Lynne Robinson; and Issaquah Mayor, Mary Lou Pauly. Community partners including Eastside Pride and WaFd Bank have also toured the site.

We are grateful to all of the supporters, community partners and friends who have partnered with funding support and their time and talent to ensure that the Eastside has a state-of-the-art center to support young people with dignity.
