Boeing Employees' Credit Union (BECU) Young Professionals Employee Resource Group (ERG)
In August the BECU Young Professionals ERG prepared Youth Haven’s garden beds for the fall and winter months. A mighty group of three with help from a Friends of Youth client and employee weeded and planted three beds to add herbs, vegetables, and late summer flowers.
Eastside Pride PNW
This month, Iva Place Kirkland is able to welcome new residents in style thanks to Eastside Pride PNW! Eastside Pride PNW is generously collecting, assembling, and donating welcome baskets that residents will receive when they move into their new apartments. The baskets include all the essentials such as cleaning supplies and the little things that make a new place feel like home. Thank you, Eastside Pride PNW, for continuing to support young people on the Eastside!
F5
On Friday, August 16, over 40 volunteers from F5 gathered to roll up their sleeves to garden, clean, and organize several of the residences and create welcoming homes on our Kirkland Campus. We are so grateful for their enthusiasm and support and look forward to the next time we get to work together!
Intracorp
Our amazing friends at Intracorp collected and assembled 30 backpacks of school supplies for youth in our foster care program services. These backpacks were filled with binders, notebooks, cool pens and pencils, and scientific calculators for older students. Intracorp has been supporting our efforts to get youth ready for school for over five years. Thank you for your support, Intracorp.
