Volunteer Opportunities

  Volunteer Position:
 Drop-In Life Skills Volunteer
  Availability:

Must be available for a minimum of an hour during any of the following shifts:

           9am - 3pm Mondays and  Tuesdays
           9am - 1pm Thursdays and  Fridays
           10am - 5pm Saturdays and Sundays

Volunteers can commit to anywhere between one shift of leading an activity or teaching a life skill, or sign up to volunteer on an ongoing basis.
  Age requirement:
 21+ years old
  Skills:
Present a life skill, hobby, or creative pursuit to share with guests at Drop-In.

Must be able to provide resources for clients to participate in the activity.

Ability to start a conversation with any guest that enters the space.

Someone who is friendly and outgoing would be a great candidate for this volunteer opportunity.

Understands that engagement, developing positive relationships, and trust with young adults may take time.

Desire to build community through small actions.Understanding of working with a diverse population of young adults who may have experienced trauma, addiction, or mental health challenges.

  Project Details:
Volunteers will provide an activity for youth and young adults to participate in during Drop-In. This could be anything from a life skill, such as budgeting or an exercise class, a creative pursuit, such as painting or knitting, or a hobby that you would like to share with our guests.

Volunteers must be able to provide resources for clients to participate in this activity. Drop-In is a safe place for youth and young adults to stay during the day and access case management services, basic needs resources and behavioral health, education, and employment services.
