Position Title

    Wraparound Peer Lead


    The Wraparound Peer Lead supervises and manages Parent Partners and Youth
    Partners. They use short- and long-term individual and family therapy, group
    counseling, educational classes and case management services, provides
    prevention and intervention services to children, youth, families, and communities.

    1. Assist in the assignment of youth and families to facilitators
    2. Provide training opportunities for youth and family partners to observe the lead
    family partner at Child and Family Team meetings and/or 1:1 meetings with youth
    and caregivers
    3. Provide consultation for parent and youth partners to monitor for accurate and
    timely documentation, problem solve barriers experienced in Child and Family
    Team meetings and/or with other providers, identify on-going training needs
    4. Meet weekly or bi-monthly with the coach to help inform the team coaching plan
    and address system challenges
    5. Attend the Community Resource Team meetings on a monthly basis.
    6. Provide support and supervision to Family, Parent and/or Youth Partners in
    keeping with Wraparound/WISe protocols.

Required Skills and Qualifications

    A. Education and Experience
        1. High School Diploma or GED. Post-secondary education a plus.
        2. Certified or able to be certified as a Peer Counselor and have training in WISe.
        3. Lived experience parenting a child or youth with emotional, behavioral
        (including mental health and/or substance use challenges), and experience with
        the children’s mental health system.
        4. Experience in the role of parent partner, and working with providers including
        schools and other community resource desired.
        5. Computer proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook as well as Electronic
        Health or Medical Records is a plus.
        6. Employees and volunteers who operate their own or Friends of Youth vehicles
        on Friends of Youth business must have a safe driving record as defined by
        Friends of Youth. Employees and volunteers who operate their own vehicle(s)
        on Friends of Youth business must carry auto liability insurances that complies
        with the requirements of Friends of Youth.

    B. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
        1. Able to use their own experiences to provide hope and peer support to other
        families experiencing similar challenges.
        2. Ensure parents have a voice in the youth’s care and are active participants in
        the WISe process.
        3. Ability to work in a community setting.
        4. Ability to identify and develop community resources in an individualized way.
        5. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
        6. Ability to read, write and speak in English.
        7. Knowledge of relevant WAC and COA standards and participation in the
        Performance Quality Improvement process.
        8. Able to engage with diverse populations in a culturally responsive manner.
        9. Demonstrate a commitment to the values of equity and inclusion by honoring
        and celebrating diverse characteristics and expressions of personal identity.


    Full Time


   $48,000 - 50,000 DOE
